Linux System Administrator (Intel Platform)

This Linux System Administrator is responsible for being the lead administrator to make Linux to work smoothly in an AD environment. Responsible for administering and monitoring the production and corporate network environments. Work includes the undertaking of professional and technical tasks for system implementations. Responsible for installing and maintaining the hardware and software components of the network server environment. Must be able to be a self-starter, work independently yet work with a diverse technical team. Must take ownership and be “proud” of his/her environment. High visibility position in the technology group.

Position Description

3 + years of experience in high-demand, high-load administration, extensive experience building and configuring Intel based servers running Linux

3 + years experience with Linux (Intel) in a AD environment.

3+ years experience with the configuration and maintenance of Active Directory in a multi-site environment.

Proven ability to automate common administration tasks on multiple operating systems, including Windows.

Experience working with load balancing technologies and web server farms

Experience in Exchange Server, SharePoint, Content Filtering

Experience with SAN storage, Blade server technology; VMWare a plus

Must possess a strong ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of environments.

Load level monitoring and server health analysis
