Position Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Quality Manager's role is to develop, establish, and enforce quality assurance standards and measures for EDPR NA Operational Services. As a champion for quality, the QM will liaison with other EDPR managers and staff throughout the organization to create a corporate culture of quality assurance. Where appropriate, the quality manager advises on changes to processes and procedures and their implementation, providing the training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
o The development of Operations QA manual and supervision of all amendments and revisions o Lead the expansion and sustainment of Horizon's quality culture throughout the entire value chain. o Ensure the Operations and their vendor's quality system consistently meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. o Manage the divisional cost of quality and optimize return on investment. o Initiate, implement, maintain and enhance proactive quality improvement activities to continuously improve O&M quality o Control the distribution of all quality documentation o Monitor quality related activities on all site projects o Perform all internal and external quality audits on behalf of management o Verify contractor quality requirements are specified and monitor contractor documentation submittals o Establish relationship and collaborate with OEM quality management o Understand and monitor project quality management documentation prior to and during project construction phase o Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements o Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports. o Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system and recommend and implement improvements when required. o Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site Regional Operations Managers o Coordinate and advise on QA/QC activities within the Turbine and BOP Procurement departments o Monitor statistical method reporting using lean principles. o Review quality documentation upon the completion and turnover of the project. o Monitor and analyze process outputs, identify systematic problems and opportunities. o Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical field or related business field required. Advanced degree a plus
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 5 -7 years, 2 - 3 years at the supervisory/management level preferably in the energy or power production industry
