Under the direct supervision of Radiology Director is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians' orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing. Applies knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to identify patient and family requirements relative to age specific needs.
Licensure: CPR, Maintains certification by the Texas Department of Health required. Current registration with A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) preferred.
Education: Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiology Technology.
Experience: Previous experience in hospital environment preferred.
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient served in his/her assigned service area.
